Library Elf: Keep Track of Library Book Due Dates

Turning your child loose in their section of the library to collect books, is a safe opportunity for them to be in control. Teaching your child to enjoy books sets them up for a lifetime of discovering amazing books.

The only negative element of the regular library trip is when your books are overdue and/or you're not sure if you have them all.

If this happens often, you need to know about about Library Elf. This wonderul service can save you overdue fees and embarrassment galore.

Library Elf has been around for five years. I found out about it from a librarian after I had to pay several dollars in overdue fees. That was the first time and the last time, thanks to Library Elf.

Library Elf supports a large list of US, Canadian and International libraries.

This service can help you:

  • Get those books back before their due date. After you sign up, you can set your account to alert you before the due date. You have several options to choose from:

  • Provide you with a list (online) if you lose your book receipt.
  • Manage activity on several library cards.
Is it free?

The basic service is free but there's also a premium service for 12.00 per year (single card) or 20.00 per year (multiple cards).

I really love being able to renew my books online (once per check out) if for some reason I can't get to the library or I just want to keep all the books or some of them for a longer time.
